PM Calls On Compatriots To Believe In Government’s Public Health Measures

PM Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has appealed to his compatriots to believe in the Royal Government’s public health measures against COVID-19.

The Premier made the appeal in a message posted on his official Facebook page this evening.

Up to now, he added, Cambodia has its own face mask factories expected to produce at least 1.2 million face masks. Moreover, there is also an SKD factory to produce at least 5,000 liters, alcohol-based sanitizer as a reserve for both people and health practitioners, while medical materials such as hazmat suits will be manufactured by two local factories in Kampong Cham and Svay Rieng provinces.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also mentioned the stock of medical equipment and medicines and the plan to have some factories ready for the production of medical materials and equipment for local supplies.

Besides, he continued, Cambodia has a full stock of rice, salt, and other foodstuff and has banned the export of some basic commodities to ensure enough food supplies in the country.

The Prime Minister has once again called on his compatriots not to get panic, but to follow the hygiene norms of the Ministry of Health, especially at the time when the country has been combating COVID-19.
