Over $900 million investment projects approved in Q1
Cambodia registered some 40 new investment projects worth more than US$900 million in the first three months of this year, according to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).
The approved projects include the production of clothing, travel goods, household appliances, furniture, light bulbs and batteries; construction of five-star hotel and super market; and so on.
The 40 projects belong to different companies located in suburb of Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Takeo, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, Thbong Khmum, Preah Sihanouk, Siem Reap, and Svay Rieng.
The investment projects, underlined the source, provide over 30,000 new jobs to the locals.
