Chinese Coronavirus Victim to be Released by Monday
Jia Jianhua, 60, Cambodia’s first and only Coronavirus patient is well on his way to recovery. His latest blood tests which turned out negative would enable him to be discharged on Monday.
Jia had fallen ill upon his return from Wuhan after the Spring Festival. His family members and others who came into contact with him were put into quarantine but tested negative after repeated blood tests.
However, three other passengers who were on the same flight on the ill-fated Lanmei flight from Wuhan, despite having no symptoms of the disease at that time, were subsequently diagnosed with Coronavirus when they boarded a flight from Siem Reap and landed at Shenzen, China.
The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia issued a press release confirming the results of tests on a Chinese patient who was found with a new strain of coronavirus in Preah Sihanouk province.
Two test results have shown negative results for the virus. If the third test shows that there is no coronavirus, the patient may be discharged from the hospital by day February 10th.
