Thai Police Challenge Former MoD’s Spokesperson’s Claim of Ignorance in Donation Misuse Probe

BANGKOK, November 4, 2026 — Thai police investigating alleged financial irregularities at the Good Deeds Organisation Foundation have challenged Panadda Wongphudee’s claim that she was unaware of the alleged misuse of donations, saying she was directly responsible for overseeing the foundation’s finances as chairperson.

Pol Maj Gen Thassaphum Charuprat, head of the Economic Crime Suppression Division, said on November 4 that investigators had found donations were used for personal expenses. However, claims that Panadda had taken 800 million baht from the foundation remain unsubstantiated.

Investigators are examining financial transactions, construction contracts and payments to contractors before deciding whether further legal action is warranted.

Actress Chompoo Araya has already provided information to investigators, while Bella Ranee has yet to arrange an appointment.

Police have not announced a final conclusion on the alleged financial misconduct as the investigation continues.
