A donation of 2 million face masks and other medical materials from the royal government of Cambodia is scheduled to arrive in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar on Thursday November 26.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, confirmed the aid in a letter sent on November 24 to Her Excellency Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counselor of Myanmar, congratulating her on the National League for Democracy Party’s landslide victory in the recent general elections.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen said in the letter that he has assigned His Excellency Mom Bunheng, Minister of Health on a mission to bring the donation to Nay Pyi Taw on November 26 on a special flight. “With our collective efforts, I strongly believe that we will succeed in the fight against Covid-19 and we will emerge strongly together,” stressed the Cambodian Prime Minister.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, also reaffirmed his commitment to work closely with Her Excellency Aung San Suu Kyi in the bilateral and regional framework to bring about more tangible benefits for the two countries and greater prosperity for the ASEAN community.

On November 16, as assigned by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, His Excellency Tea Banh, Minister of Defence, took off from Phnom Penh for Vientiane, Laos, with 2 million masks and medical equipment to be donated to the Lao government
