Phnom Penh Court to Try 129 Former CNRP Officials, Allegedly Charged with Toppling Legitimate Government
Phnom Penh Municipal Court has summoned 129 officials of the court-dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) to trials on 26 November.
On 14 November, the court had summoned 61 former CNRP officials; and as of Monday this week, they summoned another group of 68 CNRP officials. In total, 129 CNRP officials will be tried on 26 November 2020, allegedly charged with “conspiring to commit treason and inciting for serious social insecurity” in accordance with Article 453, 494 and 495 of the Criminal Code of Cambodia.
